West Australian York Gum (Eucalyptus loxophleba)

The York Gum grows to around 45 feet high and is very common from the Murchison River region (approximately three hours north east of Perth) extending south.  The bark of this tree is fairly rough and constant on the trunk and main branches.

York Gum is an excellent source of Pollen and Honey from around September to December each year.  The Honey is of a medium amber with a slightly sweet character.
