Jarrah

This paragraph contains a brief description of West Australian Jarrah and the Honey derived from this tree.

Key Benefits

West Australian Jarrah (Eucalyptus marginata)
The Jarrah tree grows to approximately 135ft high and has a fairly straight and clean stem. The bark of the Jarrah is fibrous and the flower is white. It is common in the Northern and Southern Jarrah Forest regions. The Southern Jarrah Forest is the higher rainfall area which is the 'preferred' condition in Western Australia, reaching as far south as Mount Barker, but it can also be found in areas to the north that receive at least 30 inches of rain in the winter.

The Honey flow from this variety occurs every two years with the result being a very popular mild and nutty flavoured honey.  The colour is a medium amber;  the Pollen from this variety is highly nutritious.
